Ten Bidders, Two Finalists: How Aguas Andinas Runs Its Tenders

Aguas Andinas' 2025 field-service software tender drew 10 offers and 2 finalists; tenders run on SAP Ariba since 2020, under a CLP 365 billion 2025–2030 plan.

When Aguas Andinas put its field-service software out to tender in 2025, more than 28 companies showed interest, 10 submitted offers, 8 met the requirements and only 2 reached technical qualification. Colombia's Colibrí IT won the contract, worth about US$4 million over roughly four years; the award was reported in December 2025.

The platform

Aguas Andinas has run its tenders on SAP Ariba since 2020. Suppliers get access through the tender contact responsible for each process, and taking part is free. Public tenders are listed on the company's supplier portal, where bidding documents can be bought online.

Engineering, design and technical consulting tenders require accreditation of a firm's experience and staff, which can take up to 20 business days once documents are delivered.

Contracts already placed

The Colibrí IT contract replaces ClickSoftware, whose end-of-life date is 31 December 2026, with Salesforce Field Service. In December 2025 the company also agreed with Colbún a supply of 311 GWh a year of renewable electricity from 2026.

What is coming

The company's tariff-linked investment plan for 2025–2030 totals CLP 365 billion, within average annual investment of CLP 200–250 billion. The approved works include a connection from the El Yeso reservoir to its treatment plants, worth 1.17% of the tariff, and thermal hydrolysis at the La Farfana biofactory, worth 1.14%.

Which projects are open or emerging, who decides on spending, and where suppliers should focus first are set out in the full brief. The full report, Aguas Andinas: Utility Account Brief, is available for USD 499. For a free overview, read the Aguas Andinas Utility Snapshot.
