Of K-Water's 20 most recent tender notices between November 2025 and June 2026, 17 were commissioned to the Public Procurement Service, according to a third-party listing. The same listing counts 43 K-Water notices, 83.7% of them for goods.
Treatment plants bought piece by piece
The notices show treatment upgrades bought package by package. At Danwol treatment plant, instrumentation and control equipment was tendered at KRW 2.86 billion in March 2026, alongside sludge and dosing equipment. Cheongju's advanced treatment upgrade was split into separate tenders for valves, process equipment and instrumentation between December 2025 and March 2026.
Dams, hydrogen and overseas work
A floodgate hoist for the Unmun Dam safety programme was tendered at KRW 1.80 billion in June 2026. In May 2026 power equipment for a green hydrogen project at Miryang Dam was tendered at KRW 341.3 million. In November 2025 a smart water management system for Iringa, Tanzania, was tendered at KRW 5.64 billion.
Where the larger money goes
The largest current works took a different route. K-Water itself tendered lots 1 and 3 of the Yongin industrial water scheme on 14 October 2026, at estimated costs of KRW 275.6 billion and KRW 344.9 billion. The rating agency KIS puts K-Water's capital expenditure at around KRW 0.7–0.9 trillion a year.
Programmes behind the tenders
Autonomous operation now runs at 43 multi-regional treatment plants, and 7 floating solar sites total 105.6 MW. K-Water reorganised on 8 September 2025 around safety, renewable energy and a company-wide digital transition.
