Water Corporation's list of upcoming work contracts, in a file dated 1 September 2026, names 69 projects, with nine entries estimated above A$10 million. Most of the utility's major capital works are tendered through a select bid process rather than open tender, so the list is the main early signal for contractors.
What is coming in 2027
Estimated bid-to-market dates on the list run to Q4 2026-27. Entries above A$10 million still to come include the Northam WWTP Upgrade, Wungong 1400 Trunk Main Stage 3 and Werillup Stage 3B Expansion, all estimated for Q3 2026-27, and a Burringurrah Health water quality improvement in Q4 2026-27. Six entries already name a vendor, including Guidera O'Connor for the Nicholson Road pump station upgrade.
Two entries to check
The Binduli Reservoir duplication on the Goldfields Pipeline and the Kenwick sewer extensions were both listed for Q4 2025-26, above A$10 million, with no vendor shown on 1 September 2026. Binduli is part of a A$543 million Goldfields and Agricultural Water Supply Scheme upgrade whose Stage 1 pipe contracts were awarded in July 2026.
How to get on a bid list
Each contract names a Project Director, and bids per contract are limited. Registration and health, safety and environment prequalification come first; Tier 1 work requires ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification. Spending behind the list is rising: new works investment reached A$2,180.9 million in FY 2025-26, up from A$1,424.6 million a year earlier.
