Seqwater's asset sustaining capital reached A$181.4 million in FY 2025-26, up from A$139 million a year earlier. Its March 2026 plan sized a sustaining capital delivery panel at about A$200 million a year, in packages of A$2–15 million, and an Asset Renewal Panel followed in August 2026.
What is being renewed
Seqwater's August 2026 briefing listed renewal priorities across the SEQ Water Grid, which includes more than 600 km of bulk pipelines, 33 bulk reservoirs and 22 pump stations. They include trunk main valves, flowmeters and reservoir refurbishments. Seqwater says most of these assets are buried, so their condition is hard to gauge. Repairs and maintenance on pipelines and other assets rose to A$40.6 million in FY 2025-26 from A$28.7 million.
Package sizes suppliers can bid for
The March 2026 plan listed packages such as a A$16 million clarifier at Lowood, A$15 million and A$20 million sludge upgrades at Boonah-Kalbar and Kooralbyn, an A$18 million filter upgrade at Capalaba and A$5.5 million reservoir roof replacements at Capalaba and Molendinar. Mt Crosby has two larger projects at business case stage, each estimated at A$50–250 million.
How to get in
